Bulgarian president meets British Queen

President Peter Stoyanov left Wednesday on a three-day visit to the United Kingdom at the invitation of British Prime Minister Tony Blair. The visit began with an audience with Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace. Stoyanov was also scheduled to meet with Blair, Defence Minister Geoff Hoon, and British businessmen. Bulgaria's European Union and NATO accession progress and the situation in the Balkans were to be discussed.
