Wed, Aug 01 2001 15:00 CET 58 Views
Sofia City Court decided on Monday that Romanian lawyer Lydia Peter is to be extradited to Romania. Peter's Bulgarian lawyer will appeal against the decision in the next seven days.

Peter is wanted by the Romanian National Central Bureau of Interpol on charges of bribing magistrates to have arms trafficker Shimon Naor released. She was arrested at Sofia Airport on July 13 on her arrival from Larnaca, Greece. Sofia City Court imposed the restraint measure on July 16 and it was confirmed by the Sofia Court of Appeals last Friday.
