Wed, Aug 29 2001 15:00 CET 35 Views
More than 150 Bulgarian trucks on their way to Kosovo were held by Macedonian authorities at the Stenkovac customs checkpoint, near the Macedonia-Kosovo border, reported the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry on Monday. The border between Macedonia and Kosovo continues to be closed, said the Ministry. The truck drivers had disregarded the Ministry's warning of August 3 against travel to Macedonia. After interference by Bulgarian Ambassador to Macedonia Alexandar Yordanov, the truck drivers were given back their IDs and granted permission to return to Bulgaria.
