Four people were killed and two injured Saturday night, announced the Interior Ministry press office on Sunday. In the first incident, a man with a police record and a woman living in Sofia were killed in their apartment in the Krasna Polyana district. Their children - a six-month-old girl and a 10-year-old boy - were not injured.

Meanwhile, another man was found dead in a Mercedes car in the Ivaniane district, near Bankya. The police detained his two companions who were wounded. They also found the body of one of the assailants who had a police record. When found, the man was clutching Scorpion and Makarov guns with silencers. The police are still searching for his accomplices who escaped in a car.

According to preliminary data, the two crimes are connected. An investigation has been launched.
