Thu, Sep 27 2001 15:00 CET 28 Views
The Bulgarian government launched its new website on Tuesday. The main idea when constructing the site was to provide quick access to useful information, Tsvetelina Uzunova, head of the government's Information and Public Relations Office, said. According to her, the new design reflects the Cabinet's wish to be open to the public and to explain its decisions and ideas. The English version is still under construction and will be ready in a week or two.

Uzunova said that many Bulgarians living abroad as well as foreign journalists and diplomats have shown interest in the site which gives them extensive information about what is happening in Bulgaria.

The site gives information about the Council of Ministers' history, the Cabinet members, and Bulgarian history, culture and economy. It will also feature the government's program, when it is ready, and its priorities.

The address of the new site is www.government.bg.
