Chess victory for Vesselin Topalov

The best Bulgarian chess player Vesselin Topalov climbed to sixth place in the FIDE (World Chess Federation) world rankings for October. With his victory at the super tournament in Dortmund this summer he increased his elo rating by 22 points and he currently has a rating of 2,733. The second best Bulgarian chess player Kiril Georgiev fell three positions in the rank list and is now 18th with an elo of 2,686. The third best Bulgarian chess player Alexander Delchev is 48th in the rankings with an elo of 2,634. The best chess player in the rankings is Gary Kasparov with a rating of 2,838.
