Bratanov wins Stella Artois tennis cup

Ivo Bratanov won the Bulgarian state tennis tournament for the Stella Artois cup, claiming a prize of 1,500 leva, on Sunday. In the final, which was played on the Akademik courts in Borissov Park, Sofia, Ivo was leading 4-1 in the first set when his opponent Viktor Ivanchev was injured and gave up. Bratanov added this win to his title in the state indoors championship, in which he had beaten Milen Velev in the final. The doubles title in the Stella Artois Cup was taken by Velev and Mark Markov, who in the final on Sunday beat Yordan Kunev and Vassil Slavov with a score of 6-7, 7-5, 6-2.
