Third Bulgarian team in South European Basketball League

Bulgaria will have a third team in the newly formed South European Basketball League, it was announced on October 3. This is the Sofia team LUKoil Akademik which will replace Greece's Aris (Thessaloniki). The Greeks gave up for financial reasons. The other two Bulgarian teams are Bulgarian champions Levski (Sofia) and the vice-champion Yambolgaz, Yambol. Levski's first match will be against Israel's Apoel (Tel Aviv).
