Bulgarian soccer cup holders close to UEFA Cup tournament

Litex (Lovech), the holder of the Bulgaria Cup almost secured its participation in the third round of the UEFA Cup tournament, by beating Union Berlin 2-0 in an away match last Thursday. The goals were scored by Atanas Bornosouzov in the 50th minute and Marin Petrov in the 90th minute. Three Bulgarians were playing for Union - Emil Kremenliev, Kostadin Vidolov and Hristo Koilov - whose coach is the Bulgarian Georgi Markov. The second leg will be played on October 30 in Lovech.
