Integrated photos on Bulgarian visas

Thu, Oct 25 2001 14:00 CET 24 Views
Bulgaria has complied with EU prescriptions concerning visa issue and on Tuesday started issuing visas with an integrated photo, said Milko Mihov of the paper importer consortium Kapellen at a symposium on "C-Visas and Protected Documents" on Wednesday. He pointed out that Bulgarian visas were highly forge-proof and all participants in the forum acknowledged that fact.

Integrated photos will contain information that can only be read by a special key which will reduce the possibility for loss of documents, said Achim Hilderbrand of the Visa Module of the German Interior Ministry. According to him, the Bulgarian documents are among the most highly forge-proof in Europe because they use a cutting-edge technology prescribed by the EU.
