Petya Nedelcheva in the zenith of her badminton career

Bulgarian badminton player Petya Nedelcheva achieved the biggest success in her career on Sunday. The teenager won the women's title at the open championship of Bulgaria which took place in Sofia.

In the final, Nedelcheva beat the strong English player Rebecca Pantaney by 3-1 in games. With this victory the Bulgarian added 180 points to her world ranking. Richard Vaughn from Great Britain won the men's tournament in a hotly contested final with Andrew South, also from Great Britain, who he beat by 3-2.
