National Roads Agency received numerous offers for two renovation of coastal roads, Darik Radio reported.
Six companies presented their offers to renovate the road connecting the coastal towns of Kavarna, Balchik, Kranevo and the Golden Sands resort, Darik said. The section was 20.5 km long. The highest offer amounted to 4.7 million euro and the lowest, to 3.7 million euro.
Another section to be renovated was the 22-km panoramic road from Varna to Bourgas. Eight companies presented offers for the project, ranging from 4.1 to 6.3 million euro, Darik said.
The road sections had to be levelled and asphalted and the drainage to be improved.
The two projects had to be finished in 18 months after contracting.
European Investment Bank and the state budget provided the means, Darik said.

Yavor Nedev has been appointed head of the state National Agency of Fisheries and Aquaculture. He replaces Yordan Staikov who join the team of advisers of Agriculture Minister Miroslav Naidenov. In 2009, Nedev was appointed by Naidenov as director of the recently-founded state Fishery Resources company, which is to manage fishing ports and operate with EU funds. He has been vice president of the Bulgarian - Swiss Chambers of Commerce as well as president of Cherno More football club in Varna. Nedev has also worked as a political scientist and university professor.
