Culture Minister Stefan Danailov would receive from German ambassador to Bulgaria Michael Geier a disc featuring three dimensional representation of the Boyana Church.

The project received funding as part of the German-Bulgarian technical co-operation initiative, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported.

Bulgarian Trifon Trifonov came up with the idea and in 2003 presented the 3D model as a project during his studies at the Technical University of Darmstadt.

A team of Bulgarians and Germans developed the project in co-operation with the Boyana Church museum. The number of CDs featuring the model is 2000 and the presentation is in Bulgarian, German and English.

The disc would be offered for sale to all visitors of the church and the revenue would be used for the maintenance of the church.

Such models could be used to present other Bulgarian monuments and historic sites, Culture Ministry representatives said.
