Bulgarian sumo wrestler Kaloyan Mahlyanov, Kotooshu, will be among the wrestlers to be interrogated over fixed matches.

Some of the world's best sumo wrestlers would be interrogated in connection to the scheme, Associated Press (AP) said.

Japanese  Shukan Gendai weekly published and article on January 3 2007, stating that the best sumo wrestler in the world, Mongolian Asashoryu, fixed 11 out of 15 matches in a tournament in November 2006.

Asashoryu is the most successful foreigner in the history of sumo, AP said.

All sumo wrestlers to be interrogated rejected the accusations.

Asashoryu said that the article was incorrect. It was shame and would bring him troubles, he said.
