BULGARIA'S PLOVDIV SEES THREE NEW MALLS IN 2008

A new mall, called Central Mall Markovo Tepe will be built in the centre of Plovdiv.

A Bulgarian-Israeli company will invest nearly 50 million euro in the mall construction, Dnevnik daily said.

The centre will cover an area of 8500 sq m. It will consist of a constructed area totalling 64 000 sq m on six floors. The mall will feature trade areas, entertainment area, several cinemas, snack-bars, offices with separate entrance and parking on four levels.

Central Mall Markovo Tepe should be ready in 2008, Dnevnik said.

In December 2006 another Israeli investor, Aviv Construction, also launched mall construction in Plovdiv. The investor already constructed Mall Of Sofia. Plovdiv's mall will be opened in the spring of 2008.

A third mall, Gallery Plovdiv, will be opened in 2008 as well.
