AmCham Ski Tournament in Bulgaria

The third American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (AmCham) Ski Tournament was held on February 24 at Aleko on Sofia's Vitosha Mountain.

The event attracted 87 participants in two disciplines and four categories: men, women, children and team, according to an AmCham media statement.

With great enthusiasm, AmCham members, American College students and journalists competed for the AmCham cups for the first, second and the third place.

Apart from hosting the contest, AmCham managed to make up a team, represented by executive director Valentin Georgiev and IT manager Jordan Hlebarov.

In the men's category, Svetlin Savov of Pain D'Or placed first, Alexander Savov of the same company was second and Orlin Mladenov of Balkan Star was third.

In the women's category Velina Savova of Pain D'Or was first, Denitza Stoyanova of Orkikem was second and Teodora Sinilkova of Coca Cola was third.

Pain D'Or placed first in the team category as well, followed by Balkan Star and Hilton Sofia.

There was a special category for children, with all the places taken by the American College: Vesselin Hadjistefanov placed first, followed by Neda Tsvyatkova and Elena Atanasova third.

In the snowboard race, Evgenii Batinkov of Balkan News Corporation was first followed by Eric Anderson and Kaloyan Marinov of Balkan News Corporation in third place.

AmCham expressed its thanks to the main sponsor of the event, Scandivania Motors; the main supporter: Moten Sport and Nivea Lip Care, and the companies that provided prizes: Allied Pickfords, Coca-Cola, Hilton Sofia, Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko, Motorola Bulgaria, Nivea Lip Care, Radisson SAS Grand Hotel, Scandinavia Motors and Sport Shops Chain SLS.
