The only culinary academy for Southeast Europe will open its doors in February 2008 in the Bulgarian town of Dobritch.
The academy will provide instruction for lead chefs from Bulgaria and the neighbouring countries regardless of their age, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported.
The cooking course is developed by professional chefs and experts from the sector. The practical part of the course will include paid training in luxurious restaurants and world-famous hotels and resorts.
Course participants will take a six-month obligatory English course.
The main aim of the academy is to train staff for the tourism sector which currently suffers from significant shortage of qualified workers, head of Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association Blagoi Ragin said.
Instruction will last two years and will cost 784 euro per semester.
HRC Culinary Academy is established by one of the leading international human resources organisation HRC International.
