Bulgaria's coastal resort of Sunny Beach turned from family resort into an attractive place for UK tourists who were drawn to the cheap alcohol and promiscuous sex opportunities.

UK's The People investigated the situation in Sunny Beach at a time when British tourists were ranked among the worst-behaving visitors in Europe.

Britons crowded into the resort, where vacation package cost only 170 pounds. They could hire prostitutes for only 10 leva and drank themselves to oblivion.

Local girls, as young as 14, offered their bodies on the coastal alleys where families walked with their children, taxi driver Toshko Michaelis told The People.

"You see people having sex outside hotels, in bushes and on the beach," Michaelis said.

Doctor Luchezar Kaitaski said that he had up to three British patients a week who were so intoxicated that they needed emergency medical help.
