Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2007 Indira Massiel Taveras Henriquez has agreed to join the second season of the Bulgarian edition of the television programme Survivor.

Taveras was born in a poor family with 11 children. In 2006 her sister won the title of Miss Dominican Republic Universe, also known as Miss Dominicana, netinfo.bg reported.

The beauty with a degree in law also works as a designer.

Recently, Survivor participants failed to overcome their hunger and entered the bTV operators' camp during the night. They had bad luck and could not steal much food because the operators woke up immediately. The ''survivors'' escaped.

bTV said that this was not the first such case in Survivor history. Two participants in a UK edition simulated a scandal to distract operators' attention while the others entered the camp and swept away everything which could be eaten.

Survivor host Vladimir Karamazaov told Trud daily that the main transport that the bTV team used was motor boats. He said that they travelled 30 to 40 km a day.

The largest pests on location are small midges that are almost invisible but resemble mosquitoes, Karamazov said.
