US actress Milla Jovovich arrived in Bulgaria to shoot a thriller, whose production name is The Fourth Kind, on the premises on Nu Image studios in Sofia, the studio told The Sofia Echo on June 20.
According to information posted on imdb.com, the film, written and directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi, was a fact-based thriller about an ongoing unsolved mystery about a town in Alaska, where an extraordinary number of people disappeared over the past 40 years.
Bulgarian-language media reported that Jovovich had arrived to Bulgaria with her daughter and fiancé. Shooting would start on June 23 and continue until mid-July.
Sources from Nu Image did not confirm the publications in the media and said that the information did not come from anyone involved in the filming. The filming team was declining to comment on the film, The Sofia Echo was told.
Monitor daily quoted Nu Image director David Varod as saying that Nu Image was only lending the terrain for the shootings, but was not the company to do the filming.
