Yoga Mandala will be hosting a seminar on Ayurveda on October 24 to 26 at Hotel Vitalis in the village of Pchelin, famous for its mineral springs, in south-central Bulgaria.

This is the first in a series of seminars exploring the centuries-old Indian holistic practice for wellbeing.

Leading the October event will be Megi Koleva, a wellness specialist and founder of the Sofia-based institute Ayurveda, a centre for a balanced rhythm of life that has been combining traditional and Eastern styles of medicine based on the principles of Ayurveda since 2003.

Koleva, who has been practising alternative medicine for 15 years, has studied Ayurveda, yoga, reiki and meditation in India, Nepal and Tibet.

The Pchelin seminar, which starts at 9am on October 24, includes lectures on Ayurveda, diets, and spices and herbs, tests to determine stress levels, underwater gymnastics, alternative methods of diagnosis, massage, nature walks, yoga breathing and more. The price of 230 leva in a double room covers meals for the three days, all lectures, massages and therapies and distributed informational literature.
