Boiko Borissov signs for cultural collaboration with Paphos, Cyprus

Sofia mayor Boiko Borissov and Savvas Vergas, the mayor of Paphos, Cyprus, signed a memorandum of cultural co-operation in the Bulgarian capital on November 10 2008, city hall wrote in a press release.

The document states that the two cities will work together to "develop constructive connections of collaboration in areas of mutual interest".

This is to include the mayors' support and encouragement of participation of artistic formations from Sofia and from Paphos in cultural happenings that the cities organise. Student cultural, sport and tourist exchanges are also foreseen.
