Bulgaria will participate in the Green Week 2009 international exhibition held in the German capital, Berlin, with a wide variety of staple winery and dairy goods, frozen vegetables, tinned foodstuffs, biological products and herbs. This will be Bulgaria's 20th participation in the exhibtion, to be held on January 16-25, Bulgarian National Radio reported on January 12.

Over 60 countries will participate in the expo, with organisers estimating that more than 400 000 people will visit this year's event.

The fair is currently the only food industry exhibition in the world. Established in the distant 1926, this is going to be 74th time that the event has been organised. Producers from all over the world use the exhibition to test-market food and luxury items to establish themselves with a popular brand image that will make them recognisable on the market, the fair's organisers said on its website.

Each country participating in the event promotes their produce which varies from fresh produce, fish, meats, and dairy products. At the very core of the event is the  promotion of direct agricultural sales and the bio-market organic products section. The fair also features commercial and non-commercial agricultural, forestry, and landscaping exhibits.
