Trakia Motorway has 115km pending construction which need to be completed within three years

New logistics centre will create 150 jobs and have an annual processing freight capacity of 200 000 tons.

Despite the ongoing financial and economic crisis, Ericsson announced the opening of its new logistics centre in Bulgaria on December 3 2008, a company statement said on December 4 2008. Ericsson's Central Order Desk will cover 11 countries from South-Eastern Europe by processing 65 per cent of all orders to the company and coordinating 100 per cent of all complaints.
The construction of a new logistics centre has begun near Slunchevo village, in Aksakovo municipality near Varna, Stroitelstvo Gradut weekly has reported. The facility will be within a strategic proximity to Hemus Highway and Varna airport, and will have both industrial and storage functions, occupying a land plot of 6500 sq m. Industrial Park Sofia East (IPSE) logistics project in Elin Pelin municipality, 25km east of Sofia, would cost 125 million leva if current plans are developed fully, Alexander Gebov, head of Paladin Property Development, the industrial park's project manager, said on March 5. It will spread on 70 ha of land, 96 per cent of which has been already rezoned from agricultural into land for construction development, and will provide space for light manufacturing, logistics and warehousing, benefiting from completely integrated infrastructure.
The Black Sea town of Pomorie has approved a proposal for the construction of a spacious and modern marina, with a capacity of over 600 yachts and small passenger ships.
Over the course of a year, from one of the leaders in Europe in new construction, Bulgaria became one of the countries currently quagmired at the bottom of the table and was now amongst the three worst hit countries, along with Romania and Slovenia.
