Brunettes dominate Miss Bulgaria contest

Brunettes seems to have won the "hair colour" dispute in Bulgaria judging from the country's choices when choosing Miss Bulgaria throughout the years.
A brief look at the Miss Bulgaria contest over the past eight years shows that six brunettes have won the title against four blonde and one red-haired Miss Bulgaria. Blonde Miss Bulgarias only re-entered the game with Miss Bulgaria 2009, Antonia Petrova, who won the title on March 15 2009.
At 24 she is also the oldest person to win the Miss Bulgaria title over the past nine years.
The contest itself has proven to be contentious since 2001 when there were two alternative contests and two Miss Bulgarias because of a dispute between rival model agencies. The same thing arose in 2003. Eventually the Visages Models agency managed to win the dispute and currently holds right to the contests.
The founder of Visages Models Evgenia Kalkandjieva won the competition as a brunette in 1996 before going on to secure sixth place in the Miss World contest. This is Miss Bulgaria's best result to date.

Sorry, but she was NOT selected by the Bulgarian people!! Her rich Russian boyfriend PAID for her to win ans everything was already prepared in advance! It was the first time Bulgarians had to vote by texting and not by calling!! There are many discussions on the net where you will find the REAL opinion of Bulgarian people about this crocodile!!
