FA Cup quarterfinals: Arsenal v Hull City

Phil Brown and Hull City are en route to the Emirates Stadium once again, having fond memories from there as they beat Arsenal 1-2 in the Premier League on September 27. Two goals quick goals scored in the second half by Deiberson Geovanni and Daniel Cousin ensured that the Tigers will go back north to their fishing northeast fishing town with three points from their London sightseeing.

Should Hull win at the Emirates again, this time the Tigers will book themselves a field-day to the mythical Wembley for the semi-finals, which is also a known venue for them, as they disposed of Bristol City in the promotion play-offs in 2008,  with a  Dean Windass goal.

Lukasz Fabianski will be between the sticks for the Gunners as their regular keeper  Manuel Almunia was injured with Blackburn last weekend.

Hull are without cup-tied Kevin Kilbane. Meanwhile, Dean Marney has completed a three-match ban and is set to return for the clash at the Emirates while long term casualties Jimmy Bullard and George Boateng will be sidelined.

The Tigers are going to London on the back of a positive display after Saturday's 1-1 draw with Newcastle United at the KC Stadium. City took the lead through Geovanni's ninth-minute goal but Steven Taylor levelled for the visitors before half time.

Brown was quoted as saying on the club's website "It was a scrappy affair and it probably wasn't a great spectacle in terms of football, but we have prepared for the match against Arsenal".

"There was maybe a lot of nervous tension about, from both sides. I thought we came out of the traps and approached the game in the right manner. We got our noses in front with a great goal and showed our game plan to everybody by getting into the faces of the opposition."

At Emirates, however, Andrey Arshavin is "desperate and raring to go"  for the the clash with Hull City.

The Russian international suffered a nasty gash to his right foot during the first half of the game against Blackburn on Saturday. He had eight stitches at half time but went on to score a wonder goal with the same foot just past the hour.

The 27-year-old has been receiving treatment ever since and, according to Arsène Wenger, as quoted by the BBC, "Arshavin is determined to make it".
