re: graham ,
he, you are trying to compare a brasilian inoccent shooting and Lord Sleaze to what is happening in Bulgaria right now.Are you deaf to hear about the coruption and the all the money which are stopped because of the Comunust and ethnick turks government?Do you think that bulgarian are not entitled to recieve what they are paying towards EU? Are you blind to see the daily shootings, police attitude, corruption and the qiality of life of the average bulgarian? If a pensionner recieves in Spain 700 euros a month, [...]
Read the full comment guess how much a pensioner recieves in Bulgaria?
You asked a questions where bulgarians go , well the answer is that they will and are going ANYWARE far AWAY as posible from the CURRENT GOVERNMENT,
sadly but true.
no one has suggested that abroad it can be seen with rose tinted glasses, you are as bad as any other places on earth (UK including), however if you go to the airport for an hour u will see what kind of people and how many of the young generation are leaving the country (almost 1 mln, unoficial),to leave it for western pensionners like you to live on the uncapacity benefits in bulgaria

The problems here come from the Roman like Jordan said, who put a bad name on us. There are lots of Bulgarians, who travel and work hard to earn money and to provide a good life for their families.
The second problem and the biggest is coruption and the government as a whole. They do what they want and when we try to make something against that they beat us and treat us like animals. So practicaly we can't do anything.
Regarding to the travels, as I young and I'd say pretty [...]
Read the full comment educated man, I travel to discover the world, because there are lots of beautiful places. For me Europe is the most beautiful continent, because of the rich history. Things you can see in Europe can't see for example in America.
And the last thing I want to say is, if I have I chance to work abroud I'd work in a place where I can practice my profession and where I'll be respected. I won't work only for a big salary, if there's no self-development. I think most of the bulgarians think in the same way.
Best regards
If I would be a Bulgarian, no doubt
of course I would run away.
This please has not limits is the God forgoten one.
Maybe to be compared with some countries in Central Africa.

I think Bulgarians travel in the main to better themselves and seek opportunities which are not avaialble at home. Where do they go well I think many go to USA, Germany, Spain and of course UK although until the UK does away with the ludicrous restrictions there is an artificial situation created which leads to exploitation.
london is far from correct but of course entitled to an opinion.
Bulgarians are expoloited in places like Spain where I lived for many years.
Spanish & English employers there are mostly alike, no employment contract, below minimum wage etc.
I am married to a Bulgarian so try to view both sides. Yes of course corruption is rife in Bulgaria but I would suggest that the UK is just as corrupt in many ways although not as open.
Remember the Stockwell shooting by police of an innocent man the cover up at [...]

Remeber Fred the shred of RBS.
Remember Peter Mandelson, he is like a cat with nione lives.
A governement that tells lies and sends us to war.
Some may not regard these as examples of corruption but I do.
Perhaps london should remove his rose coloured glasses and look at the UK more closely.
Personally I am not PC and prefer the examples of Bulagaria and Spain where at least one is fully aware of the shortcomings and they are open for all to see. Thank you for reading this.
What is interesting is the high % of "business travel" (71%). Someone else, some firm.... paying.
So where have all the Euro millions gone ?, Don't the Bulgarian people question this , or do they just shrug their shoulders,Its been said that We all get the government we deserve.
Places like Zurich, Barcelona, Cairo, Jerusalim, Toronto, San Francisco, Key West, Rio de Janeiro and so on. Does that answer your ??
London you are mostly right, but why do your countrymen like to come to Bulgaria?? Spend a little money, also destroy things, by acting like houligans. And let us not forget, make money as well. The word survive, you can use towards the people like the Romas, who if they travel put a bad name for the so many Bulgarians, that are earning their money, by working really hard.
Cheers Bud and have a [...]

Thanks for sharing. This is interesting. I just wonder when Bulgarians travel abroad where do they go? How far do they travel from their home?
When Bulgarians' travel for leisure, what are some of their favorite places to visit and things to do?
Take care.
