The Lokomotiv Plovdiv sports complex is to be leased on concession for 35 years.

On April 10 2009, the municipality published a tender for a project to revamp the sports complex, complete unfinished parts of it and add new features.

Lauta Park, or the Lokomotiv Plovdiv sports complex as it is commonly known, has a total area of 96.400 sq m.

The deal requires that the investment of the future concession holder is to be at least nine million leva to get the facilities up to FIFA and UEFA standards. Additionally, two extra  football training grounds are to be built, tennis courts, and a large car park. There must be complete renovation of the  volleyball hall, as well as the boxing, wrestling, fencing and other facilities.

The company that wins the tender will be given exclusive rights to run and manage the unfinished hotel within the Lauta Park sports complex. The entire project must be completed within two years from the date of issue of the building permit.

The future concession-holder will have to ensure that all clubs currently using the sports facilities of the complex will have free rights for future use and training.

Other details of the tender include a participation guarantee at 30 000 leva, purchase fee of the papers of 10 000 leva and an annual concession fee of 36 000 leva.

The bids will commence on the 40th day after the publication of the State Gazette in Plovdiv. The concession will retain the public status of the municipal property and will guarantee that its purpose will not be changed.
