United's only-choice strike partnership next year?

German champions mull cheeky one-year loan just a year after Berbatov became Manchester United's record signing.
CSKA Sofia demand one million leva which the Bulgarian team were supposed to receive in the summer of 2008 as a 'solidarity' payment, a percentage of the 30.75 million pounds sterling transfer of the player from White Hart Lane to Old Trafford. Man United has categorically refused to pay the sum.
The transfer of the Bulgarian from Spurs to Man United has been described as one of the worst transfers in last year's campaign in the Premier League, by the Daily Telegraph.

The British tabloid campaign to get Michael Shields freed from jail could be a case study for spin doctors and activists.
Barbatov is a great player. Nobody can deny that. Ronaldo and Tevez are "direct players". Berbatov is much more subtle. Rooney is a mix of all the above. I thin k Tevez and Ronaldo are the type of players that "play alone". meaning... when they get the ball nobody else exists. Just them. This has it's merits for sure, but there are times when more thought is needed. This is what I think Ferguson sees in Berbatov.
id say berbatov is going to prove everyone wrong next season once he has more of a solid place in the starting line up and is able to influence his game on the pitch. he hasnt been playing liek in tottenham because hes had to adapt to the egos of ronaldo and tevez. once that changes hes going to put all the haters to shame
i hope this writer gets the swine flu.
berbatov forever!
i hope you are sorry for offending the Bulgarians.
If in the national team he has the excuse of opposition defenders crowding him out because he is Bulgaria's most dangerous attacking player, that excuse does not hold at United, where he is surrounded by so much offensive talent.
What do you meen by that. Are you saing that the Bulgarian soccer team is bad. In a way u ofend every bulgarian there is. So what if Berbatov is not like Ronney or Tevez or Ronaldo. He tryes his best and succedes so this answers the quation. Ronney and Berabtov will make it to the top.
berbatov is alot better than tevez. i would have him any day. and to the guy below me... a third of berbatovs goals so far have been game winners, and he put us at the top of the table for the first time since 08, not to mention all the assists so check your statistics before making yourself look like an ignorant prick.
berba go home..... you dont put nothing, all his goals that he scored is not very important. when he scored in a dificult match??????????
tevez is a legend
In my opinion breba is exellent and people should give him a chance to prove his worth. And i think teves is also exellent and he shouldnt leave. How many times has he saved us? yeah so i hope no1 leaves otherwise the coach has to rebuild united. and were getting so much success now, i dont want much to change and then regret later. so all of you u should think a bit be4 writin comments bowt tevez.
alot of people dont understand berbas style of play and call it lazy, when in fact it is very well composed, thought out and played with intent at every moment. hes is one of the few players in the world that can do this and make it seem so effortless, and that is why saf brought him to the club, he needed that different type of dynamic. so for all of you that look at the game on surface level, maybe its time to wake up and realize that there is more to look at in football than running like a horse, fancy footwork and goals.
@sheldon you are a minority! i duno what you're on about, but the majority of people are in support of berba, so you should eat your own words and stop being rude.
Berbatov is an incredible player and im glad we have him in the team, all the haters can go and pick on someone that truly doesnt belong here like tevez. what a waste
@TK I guess you failed to notice ALL Berbatov's games recently, so shut up. @RJ: call us a minority again and I will find where you live and burn your home. @ the rest: go die.

this writer is crap. seems like he has something against berba, just read his other articles.
these writers get nothing but to write those stories about which they do not even have a clue. they just make nmoney and try their up best to get as many money they could. go on write some thing about else as well. hehehehehe
duno what ur on abotu mate. berba is a top player. glory man unt!!
luxury player? lol thats a new one. i quite like luxury myself. if berba is luxury then tevez is pure bottom of the barrel loss of investment. warms the bench then gets sent out like a monkey to chase the ball around when we need an odd man out.
did u see that pass he gave to ronaldo?
are you out of your mind? he has been outstanding whenever he gets the ball, and he makes runs up front all the time, but rarely gets the ball because ronaldo wants it for himself
the sarcasm and tone with which this article was written suggests some sort of personal feelings against berbatov. im not going to be influenced by this....berbatov is an incredible player and im glad he is at the club.
so typical of people to slate berbatov. im sick of it. i enjoy watching him play more than anybody else in the club. he has vision and you never know what he will do next. im behind him %100
totally agree. berba will shine next season, and with tevez and ronaldo possibly leaving, it will make things less clustered in attack. look at how efficient inter have been with just ibrahimovich..imagine what we could do with berba, rooney and kaka in attack
the statistics speak for themselves. i think
that berba has been a great signing. the rest is a matter of personal opinion. you have to understand the players game in order to rate him. the guy that wrote this article clearly doesnt. enough said
mate alex ferguson wouldnt just say something is "fantastic" for no reason. most people look at goals and flash, but what happens in between is what berba is a master of. ferguson knows that, and thats why he praises him. if you dont understand that then you dont understand football
berba and rooney are the smartest players we have in attack. and that is what we need to score goals. ronaldo is too self absorbed now having been told he is the greatest by everyone, so now all he thinks of is himself, and tevez has a good heart but they guy belongs in a different club. if you look back at united when cantona was around, it was all about the link up play and passing and playing smart, berba and rooney both have these qualities, same as gigs and scholes and anderson is on his way
there is a reason why berba has been priority over tevez this season, and SAF has praised him so much. He has the ability to set up a play and create something out of nothing in seconds. Tevez doesnt play with intent, he gets the ball and then he tries to decide what to do with it, where as berba has his moves planned ahead of time. United have always been smart at link up play and passing and tevez doesnt fit in. and as far as ronaldo, the guy deserves praise, but he wont stay here for long, he has won everything already and its natural for him to want to try something new. i expect kaka to replace him next season
too many cooks in the kitchen i say. berba is being isolated and not given the freedom he needs to perform to his fullest. tevez needs to go and ronald needs to be less selfish, but i think he will go to real anyway. glory man utd!
Yea I agree with the below comment. I don't see how anybody can expect him to bang in goals when he isnt being supplied balls up front. When ronaldo gets the ball he never looks to supply berbatov but rather goes for himself. Tevez on the other hand runs around like a headless chicken, but rarely accomplishes anything and gives the ball away alot, and people cheer him on for his work ethic....its just all so backwards
This article seems a bit personal. I thought Berbatov did quite well and has been playing consistently well, especially for a first season. He is our leading scorer in champions league, leading assist in our team and top 5 in the epl, and has 14 goals total. Aside from a few set backs he is on his way to top form for the club. Also remember that the ball doesnt get distributed to him with every attack like when he was with spurs, so he is being forced to act more as a midfielder because ronaldo is a bit selfish and self oriented. With ronaldo and tevez gone this will allow for berbatov to shine like did with Spurs and be able to orchestrate the attack in a manner which will work for the whole team rather than just for himself like ronaldo does. Him and Rooney will be the most feared duo in Europe next season you just wait and see.
Berbatov was genius against tottenham. You call yourselves SUPPORTERS?
THE MAN THAT STARTED HELPING UNTD GET ITS GOALS WAS ROONEY AND RONALDO AND WHEN TEVEZ CAME ON THATS WHERE IT CHANGED. berbatov isnt at his best. worst signing this yr, bring KAKA To untd he'll deliver way better.
but he's got a point u noe.. towards the end.. if ronaldo n tevez DO leave.. that leaves man u with a huge problem..n i dont think berbatov and rooney will be enough to sort that one out..
Mate you should consider commenting gymnastics since obviously you have no clue of football....
Yeah, you really are stupid. Berbatov had a great game. He held the ball up superbly, linked with other players and as TK has said, was involved in a number of goal scoring build ups.
You are just part of a stupid minority that has no knowledge of football

I guess you failed to notice that he was involved in the build-up to 2 goals and 2 clear goal scoring opportunities. You don't know football buddy, so stop regurgitating what everyone else is saying.
