Cannabis growing equals two years prison

A man faces two years' imprisonment for growing weed, the press centre of the municipal court in Dobrich has reported, quoted by the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA).

The 39-year-old male, Delyan A.M. from Kranevo village, Balchik municipality, has also been slapped with a 5000 leva fine.

Police seized 13 pots of cannabis, 120 grams of dried weed, 13 stems of "young plants" and 12 other plastic buckets that were also growing marijuana from his parents' villa.  The confiscated drugs' estimated street value was put at 1890 leva.

In light of the accumulated evidence, the court decided that the accused was actively involved with weed cultivation. All appeals were forbidden.

who cares... it's just cannabis. no reason to over crowd jails or prisons with this nonsense.anyway, this is not that much that this man was growing and had. my grandmother has more than this...xaxaxa :)
instead of concentrating on the marijuana issues, the government should focus on more serious crime going on in BG. like heroin...etc.. and all the human trafficking i've been reading about.
it's just a recreational/social "drug". by no means as bad as alcohol.
LEGALIZE IT. TAX IT. MAKE LOTS OF MUCH NEEDED REVENUE...it might help with this "little global recession" we're in!
seriouly people....it's just pot:)
Ok.....at least legalize it for medical use.

Here's a bigger problem: hemp grows wild all over Bg. Yep, even in peoples' gardens and i swear most have no idea what it is. Will we get busted for this too?

Thats right, lets not go after the mafia, or the crroks, the bosses or the white collar criminals, don't worry about the corrupt officials, mayors, ministers etc etc. Lets hit the small time pot growers hard.......Sad !!!!
