When it comes to internet use, Bulgaria might still be far behind the rest of the European Union in terms of connectivity, broadband availability and the use of online shopping, but it is in a class of its own in the fun and faltering categories that define hit or miss, famous or infamous.
Controversial Bulgarian film Baklava received its first European premiere at the Balkan Snapshots Film Festival in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on October 11 2008. Legal proceedings have been started against the producers of the promotional video-clips for the Bulgarian film Baklava, in which orphans from a Bourgas orphanage participated, prosecutor Andrei Chervenyakov told Bulgarian news agency BTA.
