In less than a month, Nightwish iconic front lady Tarja Turunen will perform in Universiada Hall in Sofia on October 12.
Turunen will be accompanied by the supporting acts Kings of Modesty and Furnaze. Kings of Modesty, native of Finland, have become one of the most popular bands in Scandinavia and will hit the stage with their heavy music, which the organisers from Sofia Music Enterprises believe will be a massive hit with the local fans.
They will be preceded by the German band Furnaze, who have since moved to the United Kingdom , where they released their second album "No Stairway to Heaven", a follow-up of their debut, "Lame Brain Society".
The supporting acts will provide a good start to the Arena Muzika festival, headlined by Turunen. She became a founding member of Nightwish in 1996 when together with classmate Tuomas Holopainen she formed a musical project, later to become internationally renowned as Nightwish.
On 9 May 2008, Turunen embarked on a long European tour to promote My Winter Storm, "Storm Tour". She chose to open the tour by performing at Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig, Germany.
While touring, Tarja is also spending time recording her second album, What Lies Beneath, which is designated for a 2010 release
