Lech Walesa for EU President?

In a recent interview on radio station RMF FM, Bronisław Komorowski, the speaker of Poland's parliament, said that he believes Lech Walesa would be a good candidate for EU president.

Komorowski said, "That is an idea, show the world that we have a serious candidate." He added that Wałęsa would, of course, have to agree to become a candidate. He also said that chances are slim since Jerzy Buzek is already the head of the European Parliament, and Poland can't want too much at once.

The pandemonium: Hitler, Stalin, Bin Laden. Totalitarisms: brown, red and now green.
Overthrowing totalitarism can be done pacifically or not, depending upon the way the totalitarian regime reacts. Would you blame the Hungarians for taking arms in 1956 against the red totalitarism ? Lech Walesa or Tony Blair as EU pdt, would be just fine.

Definitely better than my war criminal ex-Prime Minister Tony Blair. Lech Walesa helped overthrow a tyranny, and unlike Tony Blair he did so without killing tens of thousands of civilians, invading a foreign country and causing it to collapse into civil war.
