Russian parliament ratifies social security bilateral agreement with Bulgaria

Russian parliament ratified a bilateral social security agreement with Bulgaria signed in 2007, Bulgarian news agency BTA said on November 13 2009.

The agreement targets nationals of both countries and their family members. It also stipulates all matters related to pensions, maternity leaves, social wellfare and unemployment aid that the nationals of the two countries can enjoy.

The agreement obliges Bulgarian and Russian social services to take into account the work experience of their nationals while working and living in Bulgaria and Russia, respectively.
