On February 8, South African ambassador Sheila Camerer hosted a preview at the Arena cinema at The Mall of the South African/US film Safe House, starring Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds. The event heralded others taking place in 2012 in celebration of 20 years of South African-Bulgarian bilateral relations, including a South African Food Week at the Hilton from March 5 to 9, a South African Culture Week in April/May, a South African Film Week and a South African Gala Evening at the Sofia International Film Festival.
