Vinnie Jones is in Bulgaria to film a war movie provisionally titled Company of Heroes.

The film, which also stars Tom Sizemore, is being made by UFO productions which produces films for Sony Pictures and Universal.

Jones, who arrived in Bulgaria at the beginning of March, has since been involved in extensive overnight filming in the centre of Sofia.

Jones admitted that the only reason shooting was taking place in Bulgaria was because of reduced costs. In an interview with Bulgarian media he revealed he intends to have lunch with Hristo Stoichkov and would love to play football with Prime Minister Boiko Borissov.

Company of Heroes, based on the computer strategy game of the same name, follows the experiences of a group of soldiers during World War 2.

Sizemore, 50, is known for his roles in Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down and Pearl Harbor.

Jones, 47, a former footballer known for his aggressive on-pitch antics, has appeared in more than 30 movies, including Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Mean Machine and Gone in 60 Seconds.
