14-year-old Kamikaze
14:52 Wed 03 Dec 2008 - Nick Iliev

A 14-year-old girl lost control of the vehicle she was driving, veered onto the pavement - slicing into a 47-year-old woman - then spun around, smashing the car into three other parked vehicles. The car kamikaze was finally halted after it smashed into a tree. This occurred on Tuesday, December 2 late in the afternoon, as reported by Plovdiv police.

The injured lady miraculously got away only with a broken wrist. The Volkswagen Golf was driven by a 14-year-old girl who took it without her grandfather's permission. Allegedly, she took the keys without his knowledge under the pretext of locking the apartment. She then took the keys and invited four of her friends to "go for a spin".

The accident happened almost immediately after she ignited the engine on Vechernica street. Having travelled less than 100 metres, she managed to mangle four vehicles, knock out a pedestrian and crash headlong into a tree. Her friends fled the scene and, shortly afterwards, the teenager was apprehended by the police.
