More than 2000 km of roads would undergo renovation next year, Dnevnik business daily reported. The government procured some 500 million euros in consolidated loan financing from the World Bank and the European Investment Bank.
The government endorsed the said loan agreements at its regular session on Thursday and immediately filed them to parliament.
The state, for its part, would procure financing in the amount of 350 million euros.
One of the main projects would foresee the rehabilitation of 450 km of roads. The project was to get 90 million euros in financing from the World Bank and 24 million euros in state financing.
Under another loan agreement, the World Bank was procuring 50 million euros in loans. The loan facility would enter into the FLAG fund, a facility to facilitate the absorption of EU funds.
