Welfare for maternity leave until a child's second birthday would be 220 leva from 2008 on, amendments to the State Social Security law suggested.
The amendments were accepted in second reading by Parliament on December 17, mediapool.bg said.
From 2008, minimum pension will become 102.85 leva, which will be raised on July 1 2008 tp 112.62 leva.
Two proposals for pensions to be increased further were rejected by Parliament.
Minimal social welfare for unemployment will be 100 leva, with the maximum set at 200 leva.
