More than 26 000 people applied for the second season of the reality show Survivor in Bulgaria.

Rock and pop-folk singers, soldiers and various sports champions are among the candidates, netinfo.bg reported.

Bulgarians living in Spain, Italy, US, Australia and the UK took part in the casting for the show.

Those approved in the first casting will have to pass another one before mid-May 2007, netinfo.bg said.

The winner of the second season of Survivor in Bulgaria will get 250 000 leva.

The competition for host of the show is almost as difficult as the one for participants. More than 2000 candidates applied for the post.
