Bulgaria would have access to over 56.8 million euro in the period 2007 - 2013, within the operative programme Technical Help, Finance Minister Plamen Oresharski said on Sunday November 11 at the start of the programme.
The operative programme Technical Help was one of seven operative programmes under which Bulgaria current received funding from the structural and cohesion fund from the EU, and was funded by the EU fund for regional development, Dnevnik daily said.
The Technical Help programme was approved by the Council of Ministers in March 2007, and approved by Brussels in early November.
The programme's goal was to improve co-ordination, control and implementation of the structural and cohesion funds in Bulgaria, Dnevnik said.
One of the tasks of the programme was to guarantee the functioning of a single information system for management and control of structural funding instruments and to secure the public availability of information under the National Strategic Reference Framework.
Besides central structures, recipients of funds in the Technical Help programme could be regional and local structures and organisations, involved in the implementation of structural funding.
