A Black Sea Champagne bar is the first in Bulgaria

Tue, Jul 22 2008 15:00 CET byMagdalena Rahn 54 Views

Police were present at the opening of Bulgaria's first Champagne bar over the weekend of July 19 2008, but they were not checking to assure that the bubbly flowing into goblets was really Appellation d'origine contrôlée.

They were, as relayed by PRofile Agency, costumed lassies from Melissa Models dressed in police uniforms, later turning the Slunchev Bryag (Sunny Beach) bar's opening into an "elegant undressing"-come-fashion show of the latest tendencies in bathing costumes.

The bar is part of the seaside resort's new Crystal Crown Casino. Owner Tihomir Pavlov told media present that the idea of the establishment was "to make a place where a person can have fun and order from a variety of high-class sparkling French drinks".

The 10 minutes of fireworks at the opening party are said to have "stopped the breath" of guests like singer Maryana Popova and pop music personalities Miro and Accuse La Banks.
