Power company AES is to invest in a wind power plant in the Bulgarian coastal town of Kavarna, AIE Bulgaria spokesperson Nadya Zelyova told Darik Radio.
AES is one of the world's leading power companies. It generates and distributes electricity in 26 countries.
AES co-operated with Bulgarian-German private company to buy shares from the Kavarna wind power plant project, Darik said.
The new power plant in Kavarna will have 120-megawatt facilities.
AES is already developing the Maritsa East 1 thermal power plant project in Bulgaria. About 1.2 billion euro would be invested in the project, Darik said.
