Cabinet would try to ensure equal treatment and opportunities for all groups making up the Bulgarian society through a National Plan for Protection against Discrimination accepted on January 18.
An issue which the document tries to tackle is the illegal Roma minority housing in various Bulgarian cities. A Spatial Development Act addresses the illegal neighbourhoods problem.
Officials and social workers will undergo anti-discrimination training. Some of the people to be included in such programmes include teachers, public health staff and administrators.
The plan calls for seeking media aid in carrying out these goal. Media could get society involved in the process, the project said.
A number of activities have been planned to aid the promotion of anti-discrimination policies.
