GENERALI BULGARIA
Generali Bulgaria Holding, a unit of global insurer Generali, will appoint Stepan Popelka as the company’s new chief executive officer, the company has said. Popelka, 38, will replace the company’s former CEO Daniela Konova, who left the post on July 3. Popelka has 16 years of experience in project and financial management working for GE Capital Bank in the Czech Republic, for GE Corporate/Insurance Holding in the UK and for GE Money Bank in Poland. A graduate of the Czech Technical University in Prague, he also has a degree from the Saunders College of Business at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
LINDAB BULGARIA
Svilen Ivanov was appointed executive director of Lindab Bulgaria, the subsidiary of Swedish steel group. Ivanov will be responsible for the commercial policies and strategic development of the firm. Prior to joining Lindab, Ivanov worked as commercial manager for cosmetics firm Aroma and regional sales manager for aluminium profiles producer Steelmet. He has a degree in business administration and management from Veliko Turnovo University and a master’s degree in marketing from the Angel Kunchev University in Rousse.
E.ON BULGARIA
Martin Kraus has been appointed to the board of directors of E.ON Bulgaria, the local subsidiary of the German utility giant. Kraus replaced Reinhard Aschendorff, who recently retired. Krause will be on the supervisory board of E.ON Bulgaria Grid and E.ON Bulgaria Sales. Kraus has a degree in physics and has been with E.ON since 1993, working in the company’s information technology unit E.ON IS. For the past decade, he has worked on projects to establish E.ON IS subsidiaries in countries across Central and Eastern Europe.
WALMARK BULGARIA
Dessislava Raichinova-Miteva is the new chief executive of Walmark Bulgaria, the local arm of Czech food supplements producer Walmark. She replaces Eugen Antohi, who was promoted to be in charge of the parent company’s expansion to new markets. Raichinova-Miteva joined Walmark Bulgaria when the company was set up in 2006 as its marketing manager. She has a master’s degree in economics from the Sofia Kliment Ohridski University and an Advanced Certificate of Marketing, issued by the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the UK.
