Austria would open its labour market to Bulgarians and Romanians for certain professions as of January 1 2008, Mediafax news agency said Romanian National Labour Agency announced on October 28.
Austria has listed 50 groups of professions, for which citizens of the new EU member states, including Bulgaria and Romania, would have free access to the local labour market.
The professions include construction workers, painters, wood workers, cooks, crane-operators and others.
