Bulgarian striker Dimitur Berbatov has recovered from a groin injury and is available for selection for the last Tottenham Hotspur game of the season, against Liverpool at White Hart Lane on May 11.

It could be the Bulgarian's last game for Spurs, whose manager Juande Ramos admitted earlier this week that he was resigned to the fact that Berbatov would leave Spurs in the summer.

"I've spoken to him many times and know exactly what he wants," Ramos said on May 8. I would obviously like him to stay here but we don't know how future negotiations will go so it is something I cannot guarantee. If there are offers coming in for the player we will see if they convince the club and the player as well."

Berbatov joined Tottenham from Bayer Leverkusen for £10.9 million (13.9 million euro) in 2006, scoring 23 goals in each of his two seasons in London and was voted Spurs fans' player of the year last season, when the club finished fifth in the league.

This year, a disappointing start to the campaign means that the club will finish in the top half of the table only if it beats Liverpool in the final game of the season and West Ham United drops points against Aston Villa. Berbatov's poor form, which saw him score only four goals before mid-December, contributed to the slump.

Although Spurs have secured European football next year, qualifying for the UEFA Cup by winning the Carling Cup, Berbatov is reported to be desperate to play in the Champions League and is attracting the interest of Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan and Inter Milan.

He has three years left on his contract at White Hart Lane, however, and Spurs are confident they can get upward of £25 million (31.8 million euro) for the player, who at the age of 27 is now entering his prime.
