British top model Katie Price, aka Jordan, will adopt a Bulgarian child, Dnevnik daily said.
BBC4’s documentary on the social care home for disabled children in Mogilino inspired Price to make this humanitarian gesture, media reports in UK said. The documentary showed poor living conditions in the home and sparked an international discussion on the social cares for abandoned children in Bulgaria.
Jordan said: “I'm not an emotional person but I saw this thing on TV the other day about Bulgarian orphanages and it broke my heart. I definitely want to adopt a Bulgarian baby. I've got the room and Peter would help out.” Price is married to pop singer Peter André.
Price already has three children, aged five, two and seven months. She seems to be prepared to take care of a disabled child as her eldest son suffers some serious health problems.
According to Jordan, adopting a child from a country, which suffered problems, was the best way to enlarge her family.
