Autopsy of the remains of British Ann Gordon, who died on November 27 after being attacked by dogs in the Bulgarian village of Nedyalsko, confirmed the cause of death were the multiple wounds caused by the dogs, Iliya Donev, head of forensic medicine at the hospital in Yambol announced.

The woman had suffered massive blood loss and traumatic shock. Bites were mostly on the lower half of the body and arms and hands, with which she had tried to defend herself, Dnevnik daily reported. The autopsy could not give a conclusive answer to the question how long the struggle with the dogs had lasted, but her death had happened relatively quickly, Donev said.

Krasimir Dyuglerov, director of the regional veterinary services (RVS) in Yambol said that four dogs had been caught by the RVS and were waiting in an isolator in Yambol to be moved to a centre for stray dogs in Shoumen.
