Bulgaria and Romania’s EU accession was a good decision, European Commission (EC) vice-president Responsible for Justice, Freedom and Security Franco Frattini said.
EC’s decision was not a mistake, regardless of the fact that the EU continues to help the reforms in the fight against organised crime and corruption in the two countries, Frattini said as quoted by the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR).
Frattini said that he was an optimist for the implementation of the national strategies for the fight against corruption and Judiciary reforms in Bulgaria and Romania.
If we have to compare the factors that cause concerns and those that raise satisfaction in Bulgaria and Romania’s development, the latter prevail, Frattini said.
